This year WildLights at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens is celebrating 25 years of dazzling guests by transforming the zoo into a sparkling winter wonderland. This festive, annual tradition kicks off Friday, November 24 with festivities from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continues on select nights through December 24. Tickets are on sale now.

Presented by the H.N. and Frances C. Berger Foundation, WildLights at The Living Desert features more than a million colorful, twinkling holiday lights and light displays with decorations, festivities and holiday cheer spread throughout the zoo.

New this year and in celebration of the silver anniversary of WildLights, guests will have the opportunity to visit with reindeer! Free with paid admission, guests can catch a glimpse of Santa’s reindeer and a select number of reindeer photo and feeding opportunities will be available for purchase each WildLights evening.

Guests can encounter a herd of life-size, luminescent animal lanterns including giraffe and cheetahs, explore newly added pathways and stroll through the always-popular tunnel of lights flashing to holiday music. A visit with Santa Claus tops the list of attractions, plus nightly animal encounters and keeper chats, camel and carousel rides, entertainment, and more. Children and adults alike will be in awe of the festive G-scale model trains with more than 3,300 feet of track, all decked out for the holidays. Delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

“This year WildLights is extra special as we celebrate 25 wonderful years of bringing holiday cheer to area residents and visitors,” said Allen Monroe, President & CEO of The Living Desert. “Plus, every time someone visits The Living Desert, they help further our mission to save endangered species, so we invite everyone to join the holiday festivities while supporting an important cause.”
