The final presentation of the Outlandish performance series this season is here, and it's Baloney! Postmodern Jukebox puts Top 40 music in a time machine, Zoso hosts a Hanukkah Party, and Mack & Poppy come to Palm Springs for the first time. We also have Rita Rudner at the McCallum, the third and final Grooves at the Westin concert of the season, three fantastic theatre productions and a choral performance from Modern Men! Baloney All-Male Revue - Palm Springs Debut!

San Francisco's Gay All-Male Revue makes its Palm Springs debut this Saturday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. at the Palm Springs Cultural Center. Baloney is sexy adult entertainment performed live onstage-- for men, by men. The Baloney Boys bring fantasies to life with their signature blend of comedy and burlesque: from locker room to boardroom, nothing is off-limits for these sexy men. Postmodern Jukebox Brings Their Time Machine to the McCallum

Founded by acclaimed arranger Scott Bradlee, Postmodern Jukebox has spent the past few years amassing over 690 million YouTube views and playing sold-out shows around the world. On Saturday, December 8 at 8:00 p.m. they are performing right here at the McCallum Theatre. Featuring a rotating collective of virtuosic vocalists with sizzling stage presence, Postmodern Jukebox performs pop music in a time machine, reimagining Top 40 hits by artists such as Beyonce, Celine Dion, Radiohead and more with vintage, Gatsby-esque glam and a contagious energy that will have audiences toes tapping. Palm Springs Hanukkah Party feat. “Klezmer Juice”

Hotel Zoso presents Palm Springs Hanukkah Party featuring “Klezmer Juice” Come to Hotel Zoso on Friday, December 7 from 5:00–7:00 p.m. for a fun-filled Hanukkah Party! "WildLights" Continues at The Living Desert

A Million Twinkling Lights adorn The Living Desert Zoo this Holiday Season for WildLights, open Friday and Saturday nights now through December 15, and then daily from December 19 through 24. The holiday spirit shines as guests partake in fun festivities including the popular, sparkling tunnel of lights synchronized to holiday music and life-sized, illuminated desert animal lanterns such as cheetahs and giraffe. Hop on the Polar Express* and take a magical train ride through Gecko Gulch through the falling "snow." Mack & Poppy: Let it Snow!

Oscar's Cafe and Bar presents Mack & Poppy: Let it Snow! on Saturday, December 8 from 9:30–11:00 p.m. America's Best Least-Known Lounge Act will make their Palm Springs debut in their award-winning holiday show, featuring holiday classics alongside new tunes that are sure to tickle your candy cane. Grooves at the Westin

Rita Rudner at the McCallum

Be prepared to laugh as Rita Rudner returns (in a very mild way) to the McCallum on Sunday, December 9 at 3:00 p.m. The nine-time Las Vegas Comedian of the Year has the longest running solo comedy show in the history of Las Vegas with over 14 years on The Strip. Known for her thought provoking one-liners and her observations on everyday life, Rudner keeps it real talking about the things that amuse her. Get tickets
 


Lee Squared and Joely Fisher at The Purple Room

On Friday, December 7, from 6:00–9:30 p.m. The Purple Room Supper Club presents An Evening with Liberace and Miss Peggy Lee with Lee Squared, starring New York City favorites David Maiocco as Liberace and Chuck Sweeney as Peggy Lee. Weekend Theatre

Don't miss these festive and fun local theatre productions--now playing!

The Sound of Music, presented by Desert Theatreworks, opens this weekend, running from December 7–23. The holiday favorite features classic songs like "My Favorite Things," "Edelweiss," "Sixteen Going on Seventeen" and "Do-Re-Mi." The story is based on the actual life of Maria von Trapp, who leaves an Austrian convent to serve as governess to the children of a widowed naval officer. Get tickets

Christmas with the Crawfords is presented by Desert Rose Playhouse through December 23. It’s Christmas Eve at Joan Crawford’s Brentwood mansion and Joan, Christina, and Christopher are awaiting the arrival of Hedda Hopper for a very special live radio broadcast. Unfortunately for Joan, she’s about to receive a houseful of celebrity guests, including Judy Garland, Katherine Hepburn, Gloria Swanson, and Ethel Merman, just to name a few. Hairspray is presented by Palm Canyon Theatre through December 16. It's 1962 and teenagers Tracy Turnblad and her friend Penny Pingleton are avid Corny Collins fans. A chance to dance on the show is publicized, Tracy jumps on the opportunity. But not everyone is happy with Tracy's joining the show. The show's manager, Velma von Tussle, will do anything to oust Tracy, even if it has to include Tracy's friends Seaweed and Motormouth Maybelle. Get tickets

Modern Men present "Cool Yule"

Under the direction of Dr. Stan Hill, Modern Men - Coachella Valley Men’s Chorus present “Cool Yule”, with the Big Band stylings of Doc Porter’s Film Festival Band on Saturday and Sunday, December 8 & 9 at the Jewish Community Center. NEXT Weekend: Men in Tights – A Holiday Spectacular

Palm Springs Gay Men’s Chorus launches their 20th Anniversary Season with “Men in Tights – A Holiday Spectacular." from Friday, December 14 through Sunday December 16 at the Palm Springs Art Museum Annenberg Theater. In the first act, the chorus will present songs and dances to transport you to the Renaissance when knights were bold. “Christmas in the Cloisters,” Boar’s Head Carol,” “Sing We Now of Christmas” and “Gloucestershire Wassail” music from the time of Camelot will have you experiencing holidays with a king and his court.  After intermission you will step into the modern world and celebrate “A Long Christmas Dinner”, “Ring-A Ling-A Disco”, Stomp The Halls” and enjoy a country western “Dreydl, Dreydl. The chorus is especially pleased to present the choral premiere of “Christmas In Palm Springs” arranged for the chorus by accompanist Joel Baker. Get tickets
