Ferguson, from Modern Family, joined dozens of community leaders in "An Evening for Marriage Equality", to support the American Foundation for Equal Rights.  The event was held at LuLu California Bistro both to commemorate the one year anniversary and to update attendees on the numerous state battles now winding through the court system.

HRC Board Members Andy Linsky, Brad White, Thomas Cowley and David Lahti were joined by event co-chairs Jim Casey and Barbara Keller for dinner and update from AFER Executive Director Adam Umhoefer.  He reported that the battle has moved to Virginia with attorneys Ted Olson and David Boies continuing to lead the legal challenges.

Umhoefer invited attendees to support AFER's efforts. Ferguson was joined by his husband Justin Mikita, who helped organize the event.    Nearly 75 supporters from Los Angeles, San Diego and the Coachella Valley attended.
