This weekend in your Gay Desert Guide: Coachella Weekend 2 is lined up to be slayed once again by Beyoncé, sure to be a favorite of the #GaysofCoachella! Meanwhile, the Palm Springs Cannabis Film Festival and Summit is moving forward a very timely and locally relevant conversation about the growth of cannabis culture. Planning ahead, we have Dining for Life, Meet the Museum and White Party, while Evening Under the Stars and Hot Rodeo are coming in early May. You'll also find a cloudy art exhibit opening this weekend, Gay Wine Weekend advance passes, local Hot Deals, Happy Hours, and more!
Coachella Fest Weekend 2The Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival is in full swing, having completed the first weekend and now moving into weekend two: Friday, April 20–Sunday, April 22 at the Empire Polo Club in Indio. All anyone can talk about after the first weekend has been headliner Beyoncé, doing what she does best: killing it and reinventing the Coachella stage in her own image like the musical goddess that she is. Her performance is being hailed as a "cultural moment." Beyond Beyoncé, however, there is a lot going on at the Coachella Music and Arts Festival. If you are among the 250,000 expected to attend this year, or if you are just curious to know more about, it we've curated some helpful bookmarks on Coachella (and the country music festival Stagecoach which follows next weekend) for you here: Coachella and Stagecoach Bookmarks
The group #GaysofCoachella is connecting LGBTQ Coachella Festival goers, and they have designated a meeting place where friendly spirits can congregate in the midst of the sprawling festival grounds. Connect with them here:
